Back Story
In India, birthdays are super important, almost like divine celebrations. We always ask for blessings from our relatives, and not saying happy birthday can be seen as a bit rude! When I moved from India to the US, where there’s a huge time difference of 10 hours and 30 minutes, I noticed my family and friends struggling to stay awake and wish me exactly at midnight. This got me thinking about making something user-friendly that respects these traditions and makes it easy to connect.
Why WhatsApp?
WhatsApp boasts the largest user base in India, counting more than 535.8 million users. Through my observations, I've witnessed a diverse range of individuals across various age groups engaging with the platform. Personally, I've connected with people spanning from 6 years old to 85 years old, all utilizing WhatsApp as a medium for communication. This diverse user demographic underscores the platform's effectiveness in catering to a wide spectrum of users, showcasing its user-friendly design and widespread accessibility.
Implementation
Utilizing Figma as my primary design tool, I crafted an intuitive step-by-step process for scheduling messages on the WhatsApp platform. This involved a thoughtful user experience design that aims to simplify the scheduling task, ensuring users can easily navigate through the process with clarity and efficiency.
